This the first time I have tried to paint a flower. I kept it small, 6"x 8", and loose. I tried not to get bogged down in the details. I like the way the flower and bowl turned out but the cup and saucer need a bit of work (ellipses can be a challenge). I also rubbed out the scratchy background strokes.
